A Deliberately Narrow Practice
OM Infotech Inc. is a Canada-based SAP consulting, staffing and training firm focused on SAP Transportation Management, Business Network for Logistics, Global Track & Trace and logistics management. We work with shippers, manufacturers and logistics service providers to transform freight operations and supply chain visibility.
Most SAP firms cover the full product suite. We do not, and that is intentional. Transportation and logistics modules reward depth — charge management, optimiser tuning, carrier onboarding and event modelling are areas where the difference between a consultant who has done it five times and one who has read about it shows up in the first design workshop.
- Deep SAP TM expertise — freight planning, carrier tendering, route optimisation, settlement
- Business Network specialists — connecting shippers, carriers and LSPs, with onboarding run as a programme
- Track & Trace architects — end-to-end visibility with IoT, telematics and carrier event feeds
- Yard, dock and fulfilment orchestration — the operational layer between plan and execution
- Canadian-based, with practical cross-border and North American freight knowledge
- Staffing and training — placing consultants and making your own team self-sufficient
What Makes Us Different
Four things clients tell us matter, stated plainly rather than as marketing claims.
We Say No
If your freight volume does not justify SAP TM, or a requirement is not worth the enhancement it would need, we will say so. A refused project costs us one engagement; a badly-scoped one costs a client far more.
Standard Over Custom
Custom code is the main reason SAP upgrades become expensive. We exhaust standard configuration before proposing development, and we document why when we cannot.
Adoption Is the Deliverable
A correctly configured system that planners work around has failed. We treat training, carrier onboarding and the post-go-live review as part of delivery, not as optional extras.
Canadian Context
Cross-border freight to the US, customs documentation, brokerage cost capture and bilingual requirements are routine parts of design for us rather than late discoveries.
Our Delivery Process
A structured approach that surfaces risk early, when it is still cheap to deal with.
Discovery & Assessment
We evaluate current operations, pain points and goals to identify where SAP delivers real value — and where it does not.
Solution Design
A blueprint aligned to your actual processes, compliance needs and growth plans, favouring standard functionality over custom code.
Implementation
Delivery on SAP Activate methodology, with master data and integration treated as first-class workstreams rather than cutover tasks.
Testing & Go-Live
Rigorous UAT, regression testing of charge calculation, and a managed cutover planned around your shipping calendar.
Ongoing Support
Hypercare followed by managed services — monitoring, optimisation and the post-go-live review most projects skip.
Where We Work
We are headquartered in Canada and serve North America directly. Our consultant network extends to Europe, Asia Pacific and India, which gives us follow-the-sun coverage on support engagements and access to specialised skills that are scarce in any single market.
Most SAP logistics work is delivered in a hybrid model — onsite for discovery workshops, training and go-live, remote for configuration, integration and ongoing support. We agree that pattern at the start of an engagement.
Frequently asked questions
Is OM Infotech Inc. related to the Om Infotech companies in India?
No. OM Infotech Inc. is a separately incorporated Canadian company. Several unrelated businesses share a similar name, particularly in India. We have no corporate relationship with any of them.
Are you an SAP partner?
We are an independent consulting firm. SAP and all SAP product names are registered trademarks of SAP SE, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by SAP SE. Our consultants work with SAP software; the licences themselves are purchased from SAP or an authorised reseller, not from us.
How do you charge?
Depending on the engagement: time and materials for support and staffing, fixed price for well-defined phases such as a discovery or an assessment, and milestone-based for implementations where scope is agreed up front. We will recommend the model that fits the risk profile of the work rather than the one that favours us.
What happens after go-live?
Hypercare first — intensive support through the first weeks while real volume hits the system. After that, either a managed support agreement with us, a transition to your internal team with knowledge transfer, or a hybrid where we cover the specialised areas and you handle the rest. We will also push for a post-go-live review at around six weeks, which is when it becomes clear which alerts, reports and processes are actually being used.
